Moka Pot

Tiny Tiger Espresso. Quick. Strong. Unstoppable!

What you'll need

  1. Moka pot
  2. Fresh Tiny Tiger coffee beans
  3. Burr grinder
  4. Hot water (just off-boil)
  5. Kitchen towel or oven mitt

15g Coffee : 225g Water

The Method

  1. Grind Your Beans

    Measure and grind 15-20 grams of Tiny Tiger coffee beans to a medium-fine texture, not sure what medium fine looks like? Think about the texture of crushed sugar crystals

  2. Fill the Pot

    Fill the moka pot's bottom chamber with water up to the fill line or just below the safety valve. Add ground coffee to the top chamber of your pot basket, levelling gently without pressing down. Assemble your Moka Pot and get ready to Brew!

  3. Brewing

    Place the moka pot on medium heat and brew gently. Pay attention to when your coffee starts gushing out of the spout of your pot. As you begin to feel like all the water has come out, slowly reduce the flame. Perfecting this subtle step can be a very useful way to extract the best notes of your coffee without getting any of the excessive bitterness

  4. Finish and Serve

    Quickly cool the moka pot by placing the bottom chamber onto a damp towel or under cool water. Gently stir the coffee and pour it into your cup.
